Weekly Wrap-up It’s almost 2013 Edition

Where did the year go? It’s almost December, so that means I’m busy working on my plans for 2013. Are you?

If you fail to plan, you’ll plan to fail.

At the end of every year, I like to sit down and write out what worked, what didn’t, what I did well, what I screwed up. Then I like to write down where I’d like to be next year. How much money will I make, what would I like to learn, what new things I would like to try.

There are some new things coming for next year

  • I’m working on a design change for the blog. I did an update this year, but the design needs a bit of a facelift. Most of the work has been done, so expect a new look in the next few weeks.
  • I’m working on some online courses just for you. They are going to totally ROCK. After I’m done creating them, I’ll also have that whole “getting a course online” thing down and will be able to help YOU get your courses online, too.
  • I’m writing a book. I may even write another book, if the first one doesn’t kill me. Nonfiction. Technical stuff. You’re going to want one when I’m done.
  • I’m developing a Social Media PLAN, fer cryin’ out loud already. Rather than just my usual ‘oh, crap, it’s 9am, I should check into Facebook’, I’ll be working on an overall strategy. I’ll probably share how it’s working so you can laugh at my mistakes and copy my successes.
  • And more. A lot more.

While you’re waiting on that cool stuff to happen, here are some really amazing things I think you should read this week:

Is it time to abandon Facebook? A question I’ve been mulling over with no clear conclusion just yet. And Sonia Simone has coined the term “Facebook Sharecropping”.

Why I use WordPress to build websites. Infographics are fun!

Who is your next customer? Seth Godin Brilliance.

The debate around Evidence Based Massage continues and NO ONE is more patient or eloquent than Ravensara Travillian. Her post on POEM is so wonderful I want to drive to Seattle and give her a big old hug.

Are you planning for 2013 yet? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. I have a whole notebook page full of plans for 2013. And more swirling around my brain. I don’t know if I should be excited or overwhelmed!

Tracy – I’m actually prioritizing my goals, because I’m not sure there are enough days in 2013 to get everything done. Unless I’m invaded by a horde of helpful elves, anyway.
